Biography:
William Seifried, MA, LPC, has more than 12 years of counseling experience. With a Masters Degree in Counseling and Human Development from Montclair State University (1995) with additional Master's level classes taken at Fairfield University and Capella University. He has been trained in Imago Relationship Therapy. He recently completed the Licensed 1:1 Provider programs at HeartMath Boulder Creek, California. Also recently completed training in Psych-K (psychological kinesiology) and is a graduate of the Silva Method. He has participated in countless workshops from both mainstream and alternative medical perspectives.
Additionally, William has had a variety of counseling experiences. He completed Supervised Fieldwork with the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, in Newton, NJ, where he worked with hospice patients and their families. He also co-facilitated bereavement groups through Newton Hospital and the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice. Subsequently, he worked for 5 years at family based mental health clinic, in Sparta NJ. He has a 60 credit Master's degree. He has passed the National Certification Testing NCC which is required for the LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) certification.
This certification is recognized by most health insurance plans.
William's journey to counseling was a unique one. After earning a BS
in Business Administration from Montclair State University in 1978, he
spent 11 years in a variety of business management positions in Miami,
England, and New York City. Observing that much of the energy spent by
employers and employees was on personality conflicts and power struggles,
William decided to further his education to gain further insight into
this aspect of the human condition. Today this experienced and warm-hearted
counselor is directing his own private practice.
